Tour Blog/Update #1

We’re about at the half way point of this tour and it has far exceeded my expectations.

I was preparing before the 7 week stretch for war, which tour usually is but this tour has been more vacation. Taking Back Sunday, Thursday and the New Regime are all great bands to tour with because we all bring something different. Its not a reliving shit/nostalgia bullshit either.  These bands are on top of their game.  So instead of contest every night it’s all context. Of course, it’s TBS’s crowd but they have been very kind to us night after night. We’re all very lucky their fans are as cool as they are. The beauty of it too is that they don’t take advantage of their fans devotion. They play every night like there’s a person backstage tied to a water table ready to be plunged to their death if they don’t fucking rock the house.  Every night they set the captives free, man. It’s inspiring to say the least.

Thursday is what we want to be like as a band. The smartest, funniest, coolest down-to-earth motherfuckers on the planet. Just rollin everyday.  Hands down.  Its like hanging with wu tang or something.  And their new shit is the best stuff they’ve ever done.  They quickly became our very close friends and partners in crime. It’s hard to play guitar with a raging boner knowing they’re about to play next. Jk..The New Regime is a tenacious troop. This is their first tour and they bust their asses every night winning over the crowd. They’re tight and rip it up.  Well if u still haven’t seen this tour, you should do yourself the favor. These peoples know what’s up.

The Cradle (Deluxe Edition) is today’s Amazon Daily Deal!

Friends,

We have landed the Amazon Daily Deal for today, Friday July 1st, 2011. That means for TODAY ONLY, you can get The Cradle (Deluxe Edition) for only $3.99. Pretty huge. That’s 19 tracks for the price of your daily Starbucks. Whhhaatttt. Here’s the link:

http://amzn.com/B005341XHC

But if for some reason you just don’t want those bonus tracks, you can still get the original 10 song version of The Cradle for $3.99 today only as well.

http://amzn.com/B003XSZIEY

Now you may be saying to yourself, “The record’s been out for a little while. Don’t they know I already have it?” Well, maybe you do. BUT, there are a few things you can still do to help us blow this thing out of the water.

1. We need help getting the word out today. Anything you can do, whether it’s posting the Amazon link on your facebook or twitter, or telling your friend, or writing a blog or WHATEVER.
2. Gift it! If you have a friend who might be into it, you can gift the album to them by clicking “Give Album OR Song as Gift” on the right-hand side of the Amazon page.
3. Buy it! Maybe you bought The Cradle. That is awesome. Seriously, thank you. BUT, there are 9 bonus tracks on this here Deluxe Edition that weren’t on the regular version. And they’re only $3.99 today, that’s still a pretty tasty deal.

If you do happen to buy it for yourself or a friend, forward the Amazon email receipt to colourrevoltcontest@gmail.com and we will select 5 winners to win two tickets each to one of our upcoming shows w/ Taking Back Sunday and Thursday. Just check the tour dates to see if we’re coming to your area. We will assume the show you want to go to is in the city of your billing address, but please specify if you’d like to enter to win tickets for a different city.

Thanks,
Jesse & Sean // Colour Revolt

The Cradle (Deluxe Edition) is OUT!

Get it from iTunes, Amazon, or pretty much any other digital retailer.

The skinny:

9 bonus tracks = 3 demos that didn’t make the cut, 1 demo that did (She Don’t Talk), plus 5 of our favorite live and/or acoustic songs we’ve done since the album release.

If you already own The Cradle, we set up a Bandcamp page to stream or buy JUST the bonus tracks for $2.99. It’s only fair that you good people don’t have to “re-buy” the whole full-priced album just to get these extra goodies . Hit it up here or below.

NEW SHIRTS!!!!

Brooks Tipton, keyboard extraordinaire, printed up these little gems after we saw a guy in Albany with an old shirt that had this design. They’re printed on American Apparel Tri-Blend shirts, so they feel like an old shirt that’s been washed 100 times. Get them here, or just click the picture.

Subway Sessions Part Deux: “Our Names”

Man, these Subway Sessions guys do some great work. Here’s the second video we recorded for “Our Names.”

Subway Sessions

The fine folks at Subway Sessions up in NY do some incredible work. Here’s the first video for “The Cradle.” More to come.
